Finding a suitable place for your family to celebrate New Year’s Eve can be daunting. Good thing the Triangle Region is host to several great family-friendly New Year’s Eve events. Below, we’ve put together a list of the 4 Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Events in the Triangle Region.
First Night, Raleigh – Every year the Raleigh Acorn is dropped to ring in the new year. However, this all-day festival is much more than just an acorn drop at midnight. Since 1991, the festival has been a local must-attend event. Featuringover 100 performances at over 36 locations downtown, it’s the ultimate NYE experience and value. Tickets start at $10 for children and $14 for adults (this gets you access to all shows). And this year, the 90-foot ferris wheel is back! We’ll see you there.
Buffaloe Lanes – Alcohol Free & Family Friendly Bowling, Cary NC – Looking for an alcohol free celebration for the family? Look no further than Buffaloe Lanes in Cary. For $60 you can reserve a lane, get a pizza, pitcher of soda and shoe rental!
Bull City Burger and Brewery, Durham NC – All ages are welcome at the 4th annual Family Friendly New Year’s Eve Party. The event starts at 6pm, so there is plenty of time to get home after a toast at 8:30pm. Tickets are $35 per-adult and $12 for children under 12. Should be a great time for anyone looking to celebrate a family friendly NYE in Durham.
Night Lights, A Family NYE, Chapel Hill NC – Morehead Planetarium is the perfect place to take the family on the 31st this year. Between 3pm and 6pm (for $5) the family can partake in a bunch of fun activities before the new year. Some of the activities are:
